Literary Movements - Romanticism, Modernism and Postmodernism

In preparation for both the Year 11 and Year 12 Advanced English and Extension English courses, students will explore texts from three key literary movements: Romanticism, Modernism and Postmodernism. In doing so, students will consider how texts are shaped by their context as well as the ways literary forms and features shift over time and how these shifts represent different ways of thinking.

Students will use the texts studied to craft their own imaginative and analytical essay compositions. In doing so, students will develop their ability to write in a range of forms for different purposes, audiences and contexts.
