"Having struggled in science initially in high school myself, I know the feeling of being confident in your knowledge, until the holes in your understanding are uncovered when you apply it in exams. The solution to this, which I implement in my teaching, is to explain the consequences and applications of scientific concepts to make them feel obvious. Complementing this with an approach of explaining topics from fundamental scientific axioms, makes a student feel as though they could reach the same conclusion themself."
