“Having taught English, French, and debating for a number of years, my pedagogical methods have developed with the intention to provide students with the individual ability to think lucidly about complex concepts and establish their own interpretative styles. I have seen students advance most when they are empowered to reason independently. This is opposed to the method of teaching a formulaic 'correct way' to go about any given task, which tends to create confusion (as there is no singular 'correct' reading of a text). The 'correct way' is contingent upon each students' own mechanisms of thought and ability to create sound arguments. I try to make this clear to students, keeping the classroom welcoming and dynamic.”
