  • Examining angles in triangles, quadrilaterals and polygons/angle problems
  • line symmetry and rotational symmetry and Euler’s formula for three-dimensional solids
  • Reflection/Translation/Rotation
  • Basic introduction to 3-dimensional coordinate systems (e.g. cubes)

Financial mathematics

  • Goods and Services Tax (GST) calculations, calculating percentage change/profit/loss
    • Calculate GST (probs very short)
    • Can do some economic concepts – eg unemployment rate
  • Using/simplifying ratios/scale drawings with ratios, using ratios and rates and
  • the unitary method Solving rate problems,
  • speed, distance-time graphs

Extension (Proofs)

  • Logical statements, converse, inverse, contrapositive, negation
  • Proof by contradiction, extremal principle, infinite descent
