Monday
Morning (2 hours)
- Brief introduction: introducing the teacher, asking students about their debating experience, what they might like to focus on, what they’re unsure of
- Advanced structure of practical arguments, or, how to actually prove things: the different kinds of reasons, impacting, weighing
- Case writing, or, how to always come up with points: strategy and framing
- Practice case preparation altogether
Afternoon (2 hours)
- Practice debate (approx. 35 minutes prep time, 1hr debate time)
- Adjudication and feedback (general and individual one-on-one)
Tuesday
Monring (2 hours)
- Methods of rebuttal: diversifying techniques for disproving the opposition, and comprehensive structure of thematic rebuttal
- Practicing rebuttal activity
- Seminar on the intersection between ethical issues, social movements, and politics debates
- Practice case preparation altogether
- (Time permitting) Advanced analysis of stakeholders: rationality, decision-making, incentives, motivations, and characterisation
- (Time permitting) Case study application of characterisation in economics debates

- Practice debate (approx. 35 minutes prep time, 1hr debate time)
- Adjudication and feedback (general and individual one-on-one)
Wednesday
Monring(2 hours)
- Briefly reviewing progress: active recall
- Final practice debate (approx. 35 minutes prep time, 1hr debate time)
- Adjudication and feedback (general and individual one-on-one)
*** 30 minutes break between 11:30am-12pm on 21/04 and 22/04, food will be supplied during the break***
